Are electronic signatures legally valid in India?
The Information Technology Act, 2000 recognises electronic records and electronic signatures. Some documents, such as wills, powers of attorney, negotiable instruments and certain property documents, are excluded or need extra formalities like stamping or registration. Check with your lawyer for your specific use case. We don’t claim every signature is valid everywhere.
What makes a signature here hard to dispute?
Each signer is verified (email or SMS one-time code), accepts electronic records consent and confirms intent. Every action is written to a hash-chained audit trail. The final PDF is digitally sealed so any change is detectable, and trusted timestamps prove when the evidence existed.
What do I get when an agreement is complete?
A sealed PDF, a certificate of completion listing every party, verification method, IP address, device and timestamp, and a downloadable evidence package with the original document, audit trail and timestamp tokens.
Can someone check a document without an account?
Yes. Anyone can drop a PDF on the public verification page. It is hashed in their browser and never uploaded, and the page confirms whether it matches a sealed agreement without revealing names or contents.
Where is my data stored?
Documents live in private object storage and are only reachable through short-lived signed links after authorisation. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and storage can be pinned to Indian regions.
Do signers need an account?
No. Signers use a personal link and a one-time code. They can sign on a phone in under a minute.
